Starting out this journey, we embarked on a mission to be the first and best ve(3,3) DEX in zkSync Era. As months passed, we’ve experienced tremendous support and growth from you guys, our velocore-mmunity. In response to this, we have consistently improved our protocol and conducted various improvements and developments.
Our May roadmap announcement includes the V2 upgrade aimed at transitioning to a more innovative and fresh DeFi model as we strive towards a grander vision. None of this would have been possible without your support, our beloved Velcrew members. We would like to thank everyone for helping us build a community that is stronger and more active than any other protocol in the ecosystem. As we move forward, we are excited to share another high value ecosystem expansion plan, which was the hidden secret in our May Roadmap.
With the focus on Layer 2 solutions, interest in rollup solutions is higher than ever. Among the many key technologies capturing attention is zkEVM, which incorporates Zero-Knowledge technology and certainly stands out. The Velocore team has always had a keen interest in giving attention to this technology, operating a successful project as the first ve(3,3) DEX on zkEVM mainnet. We’ve always maintained an open mind and inclusivity towards various rollup solutions in the space.
And so, we are delighted to announce: Velocore is embarking on another journey with Linea! This new venture will be independent from the current Velocore running in zkSync Era and will be based on the upcoming Velocore V2 system.
Introducing Linea, a zkEVM Layer 2 by ConsenSys
Linea, a zkEVM layer 2 protocol developed by ConsenSys, experienced in proof and scalability technologies, ensures Linea’s adaptability with all existing Ethereum applications and infrastructure. Linea provides an Ethereum-like experience, including seamless integration with EVM wallets and developer tools, using ETH for transaction fees, and enjoying all the benefits of Ethereum scaling solutions. As a result, Linea offers minimal fees, almost immediate confirmations, and increased transactions per second (TPS), without the drawbacks typically associated with rival projects.
Linea’s inception is another milestone for ConsenSys, the renowned creator of MetaMask, and developer tools like Infura and Truffle. As Linea recently unveiled its public testnet, Linea is receiving massive community engagement. It’s conveniently integrated as a default network on MetaMask, simplifying the process for developers and end-users. The community is encouraged to participate in testing and preparing Linea for its mainnet launch. A collaboration with Galxe, known as Linea Voyage, provides a public-testnet exploration event, rewarding community members for their involvement and feedback.
A New Voyage: Velocore V2 on Linea
Building on the next chapter of our journey, Velocore V2 is collaborating with Linea to participate in Linea Voyage’s DeFi Week! Currently, Velocore V2 is under development with the goal of participating in the DeFi Week event scheduled for June. The campaign hosted on Galxe will provide an opportunity for everyone to experience Velocore V2 on the Linea Testnet and participate in quests.
Preparations for Velocore V2 on zkSync Era will proceed independently from the Linea Testnet timeline and further announcements for Velocore V2 on zkSync Era will be forthcoming. The official launch of Velocore V2 on the Linea platform will officially take place after the full launch of the Linea Mainnet. It’s going to be an amazing experience as Velocore and Linea converge to further enhance the DeFi ecosystem.
Velocore V2 docs will be released in this week and specific details regarding Velocore V2 on Linea Voyage and DeFi Week events will be announced later on. Stay tuned!
Introducing our Linea Ecosystem Partner: Mendi Finance
Mendi Finance is an EVM compatible lending/borrowing protocol that launching on Linea. Mendi Finance provides peer-to-peer lending solutions that are fully decentralized, transparent and non-custodial. Similar to (and based from) existing lending platforms like Compound Finance and AAVE users will be able to lend any supported assets on our platform, and use their capital to borrow supported assets. At launch, Mendi Finance will offer the following high-liquidity money markets with dynamically adjusted incentives.

Mendi aims to be the prime lending platform on Linea by offering highest competitive incentives for money markets, having the deepest liquidity and being native to Linea.
Velocore’s collaboration with Mendi Finance will continue even after the Linea mainnet launch, and based on a unique and engaging bribe-incentive flywheel system, we’ll all work hard to build a wonderful DeFi ecosystem in Linea.
